Buck Compadre Camp Knife

A big knife with a wood handle made in the USA and it's RED...

Further review than the sentence above isn't really needed but if we must, here we go.  Buck Knives has been an American icon in crafting some of the finest blades around.  While our favorite blades tend to be Kershaw blades here at MRC, we can't ignore this fine specimen of American carbon steel in BOLD RED powdercoat.  We also appreciate the Heritage walnut Dymondwood handle which fits firmly and comfortably in the hand.  This blade makes an excellent companion for outdoor activities most of us will engage with - carving a tip of a stick for marshmallow roasting, cleaning a fish if need be on first day of trout, or slicing some fresh veggies at the camp.  If you're looking for something that will help you with a bear encounter or a coyote, we'd recommend you stick to your hunting rifle for this.

The Compadre Camp Knife is part of a set of useful tools including a camp axe and froe offered by Buck, however we'd recommend you stick to the knife vs the other offerings as there are better choices and performance we've seen.  That being said, we like this camp knife a lot and the complimentary leather sheath that comes with it makes it something we can't pass up.
